THE BLACK CADDIE

Honoring the Forgotten Me

From 1932 to 1982, The Black Caddies of Augusta have been the unsung heroes of golf history. These men played a crucial role in the success of the game by shouldering the burden of heavy bags for professional players, providing valuable advice on the course, and serving as the vital connection between the player and the club. Despite their indispensable contribution, these caddies were often overlooked and undervalued, marginalized within the sport and denied the recognition they rightfully deserved. Nevertheless, they remained dedicated and loyal to the game and its players. The time has come to acknowledge and honor the significant contributions made by these forgotten pioneers of golf history, ensuring that their legacy is not lost.

The Black Caddie Academy

At the Black Caddie Academy, we turn afterschool into an awesome learning adventure for kids of all ages, including foster children. We combine tech, games, education, and even golf to make learning fun and engaging. Our goal is to help children with learning disabilities in the areas of Dyslexia and Dyscaculia.

Here’s what makes us unique:

  • Learning Through Games: We’ll use games to make education exciting, even if you have learning disabilities.
  • Financial Smarts for the Future: We’ll learn how to manage money wisely and build a strong financial foundation.
  • Mental Strength and Wellbeing: We’ll discuss mental health and how to be your happiest, healthiest self.
  • Life Lessons on the Green: We’ll hit the golf course to learn valuable life skills through the game.

The Black Caddie Academy believes education, counseling, and a sprinkle of golf can help you build a bright future for yourself and your community.
